Why we built it

Most typing tests bury a simple task under ads, pop-ups and sign-up walls. We wanted the opposite: open the page, start typing, and get a clear read on how you did. No countdown to sit through, no account required, nothing to install. Just you and the keyboard.

What you get

• Timed runs from 30 to 300 seconds, or a free run with no clock at all.
• A clear breakdown of every result — WPM, CPM, accuracy and consistency.
• A graph of your speed over the run and a character-by-character review of what you typed.
• A private history of your tests so you can watch your personal best climb over time.

How we think about it

The Typing Hub is free to use and always will be for the core test. You can practise as a guest without ever creating an account — your results are yours. When you want to keep your history safe and pick up where you left off on any device, you can sign in with Google to save your progress. That's the only reason to sign in, and it's entirely optional.
